Join us for the only completely independent in-person equine nutrition class available. This full-day, comprehensive course covers the fundamental principles of equine nutrition, including: what a horse has evolved to eat, the horse’s digestive tract, classes of nutrients, types of forages and feed stuffs, reading feed labels, calculating rations, feeding for life stages, special considerations – and more. Activities will include calculating a horse’s weight, body condition score assessment, feed comparisons and ration calculations. All students receive a full-color nutrition reference manual and a Certificate of Completion.
